Hello Wolverine Nation! 🐾
Even though it does not look like it outside, it is already November! In October, our elementary students learned about fire prevention from our local firefighters. The entire school did its off-site evacuation drill, lots of students got their vision and hearing screened, and our 6th-12th grade students learned about various post graduation options at our career fair.
We will be hosting our first Family Engagement night on Wednesday, November 12 from 5:30-7:00 PM. It will be a Math Games night, so come with your kids and play some math games. We will be serving nachos. Parents must be in attendance with their child.
Academics and Assessment Updates
Believe it or not, but the 1st Quarter ends tomorrow. K-5th will be getting 1st quarter report cards, and 6th-12th will have a 1st quarter progress report. These will be available in the Infinite Campus Parent Portal on November 17. Fall Parent-Teacher Conferences will be held from 4:00-7:00 PM on Tuesday, Nov. 18 and from 3:00-7:00 PM on Wednesday, Nov. 19th. Invites for appointments will be sent out next week.
This is the second year of the MAST state testing for grades 3rd–8th. We are currently in the first window, so students will begin testing soon. Teachers will send out more specific information to their students and parents regarding when these assessments will take place.

Athletics Spotlight 🏐🏈
Congratulations to all of our fall sports’ teams on successful seasons. Cross-country, Volleyball, and Football are all finished for the year. The JH Boys’ Basketball team has started practice and has their first game tomorrow. The HS basketball teams and Nordic Ski teams start practicing this month.

¡Hola, Nación Wolverine! 🐾
Aunque no lo parezca afuera, ¡ya es noviembre! En octubre, nuestros estudiantes de primaria aprendieron sobre prevención de incendios con nuestros bomberos locales. Toda la escuela completó con éxito su simulacro de evacuación fuera del sitio, muchos estudiantes recibieron exámenes de la vista y audición, y nuestros estudiantes de 6.º a 12.º grado exploraron varias opciones posteriores a la graduación en nuestra feria de carreras anual.
Próximos Eventos Comunitarios
Organizaremos nuestra primera Noche de Participación Familiar el miércoles 12 de noviembre, de 5:30 p.m. a 7:00 p.m. Esta será una divertida Noche de Juegos Matemáticos, ¡así que por favor vengan con sus hijos a jugar! Serviremos nachos. Nota: Los niños deben estar acompañados por un padre o tutor.
Actualizaciones Académicas y de Evaluación
El Primer Trimestre finaliza mañana, 4 de noviembre. Los estudiantes de K-5.º grado recibirán las boletas de calificaciones del Primer Trimestre, y los estudiantes de 6.º a 12.º grado recibirán un informe de progreso del Primer Trimestre. Estos estarán disponibles en el Portal para Padres de Infinite Campus el 17 de noviembre.
Conferencias de Padres y Maestros
Las Conferencias de Padres y Maestros de otoño se llevarán a cabo de 4:00 p.m. a 7:00 p.m. el martes 18 de noviembre, y de 3:00 p.m. a 7:00 p.m. el miércoles 19 de noviembre. Las invitaciones para programar citas se enviarán la próxima semana.
Pruebas MAST
Este es el segundo año de la prueba estatal MAST para los grados 3.º a 8.º. Actualmente estamos en el primer período de evaluación, por lo que los estudiantes comenzarán a tomar las pruebas pronto. Los maestros enviarán información más específica a sus estudiantes y padres sobre cuándo se llevarán a cabo estas evaluaciones.

Felicitaciones a todos nuestros equipos deportivos de otoño por sus exitosas temporadas. Campo a Través, Voleibol y Fútbol Americano han finalizado por el año. El equipo de Baloncesto Masculino JH ha comenzado a practicar y tiene su primer partido mañana. Los equipos de Baloncesto HS y los equipos de Esquí Nórdico también comenzarán a practicar este mes.
